Spiritual Explorer Retreat

Swim with the Whales

Moorea Oct 7. - 19. 2024

Moorea is one of the few places on the planet where it is possible to swim with humpback whales. Each year the whales come to mate and give birth to their babies in the warm, nurturing crystalline clear waters and to relax a few months while the babies get strong enough to journey back to Antarctica. French Polynesia became a Marine Mammal Sanctuary in 2002 offering protection to all of the 16 species of whales and dolphins found here.

Young Humpback Whale In Blue Water

Imagine swimming with whales...

Floating in the energy field of a whale mama and her baby is an otherworldly experience. Their love is so palpable, so pure, so peaceful... it can transform you, raise your frequency to a higher vibration... and you feel forever changed...

Do you feel the calling of the whales?

Would you love to connect with like-minded souls?

Feel the vibrant love of the heart-shaped island?

Moorea, the sister island of Tahiti in French Polynesia, is named the most beautiful island in the world.

We are coming together to share our gifts, wisdoms, experiences, joys and zest for life, while immersed in this most magical island in the heart of Lemuria.

Five days we will go on boat trips to connect with humpback whales in their element.

Then... Maybe you want to explore the heart of the island by hiking? Snorkle among tropical fish of all rainbow colors in the turquoise lagoon? Meditate by the sea or on ancient temple grounds? Or just hang out at our beautiful beach bungalows? We have time for all that and more, including ample time to integrate the activations received by the whales, the ocean and the island herself. Blissfully basking in the Mana; the vital energy, the spiritual force that surrounds us.

If this speaks to you, join us - it will be WHALEMAZING!

5 Boat Trips to Swim with Whales

Day 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 we will go on boat trips to swim with humpback whales.

  • We will get within close proximity of the whales to observe them comfortably from the boat.
  • The captain and the whale guide will decide when we can enter the water to interact with the whales in their element.
  • Getting closer requires basic snorkeling skills as we will have to swim a minimum of 100 meters towards the whales (the boats are not allowed to get closer out of respect for the wellbeing of the whales).
  • Note that the whales are wild animals and there is no guarantee that we will be able to swim with them. It will all be on their terms.
  • We may also see dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish and other marine life.
  • The sea temperature is around 27C/80F

Visiting Ancient Temple Grounds

  • We will visit the sacred temple grounds, Marae-o-Mahine and Marae Ti'i-rua. Marae were religious and community gathering spots for ancient Polynesians, and where the chiefs made political, social, and religious decisions.
Jungle marae at Moorea
  • Every family clan had its own Marae, which indicated land ownership. But the land was not seen as something owned but rather something to which people belonged. It’s where they were buried family members and the placenta of their newborn children.

Stunning View Points and Hikes

We will experience the beauty of the island’s lush green interior with its tropical forests and magnificent panoramas.

  • Belvedere - The most famous scenic spot in Moorea offers views of Cook's Bay, Opunohu Bay, Mt. Rotui and the fertile valley. We will go there by car, and it’s a starting point for several hiking trails for those wanting deeper exploration of the heart of the island.
  • Afareaitu Waterfalls - A 30 min trek through luxuriant vegetation, over volcanic rock and across streams before reaching the calm, refreshing pool of the beautiful 30m/98ft waterfall.
People Hiking
  • Magic Mountain - famous for its breathtaking views of Opunohu Bay, a 3.3km/2mi long hike that usually takes about 30 min to reach the mountain top.
  • The Three Coconut Pass - a popular trail offering magnificent panoramic views of the ancient volcano, and the North and South coasts of the island. A 7km/4 mile long hike that takes around 3 hours to complete from Belvedere.

Snorkeling in Turquoise Waters

We will have a chance to explore several of the beautiful white beaches on the island with its variety of corals and colorful tropical fish.

  • Temae beach - one of the most beautiful beaches on Moorea, famous for its crystal clear waters that are filled with coral reefs and colorful tropical marine life lies a 5 minute walk from our beach bungalows’ accommodation.
  • Ta'ahiamanu Beach - a gorgeous, spacious beach near the entrance to Opunohu Bay, with a beautiful view of the mountain peaks. Perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

About Fride

Fride Vedde is an educator, writer, mother, facilitator and spiritual explorer. She loves to uplift and inspire people and fiercely believes in the power of following our hearts.

Fride was born by the Norwegian fjords and has always felt a deep connection to the whales and the sea. Her family and ancestors were fishermen and whalers, and her favorite childhood moments were spent at sea and listening to the stories of the past.

Inspired traveling following her heart has been one of Fride’s great passions, resulting in years abroad, traveling across continents and living in the US, Spain, Holland and England. She crossed African Sahara with her partner while pregnant and later went UFO-hunting in the Chilean Andes with her 6 year old son and 12 year old brother. Connecting through her heart field with dolphins in Croatia catapulted her explorations of the quantum field and its unlimited possibilities for healing, guidance and expansion.

A few years ago the whales started revisiting in her dreams and meditations, and when she started with automatic writing, the Whale and Dolphin Collective were the first to come through with their infinite love and wisdom. Swimming with humpback whales in Moorea resulted in quantum leaps in her own spiritual journey and amplified her intuitive abilities.

Now Fride is excited to pay it forward by facilitating other lightworkers connecting with the whales and the ocean, Mother Earth, each other and this magical island. She will lead sacred circles and guide quantum healing meditations.

Fride’s passion for knowledge resulted in more than a decade of higher education in film, languages, anthropology and education, before teaching filmmaking in Norway.

Fride has a MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University, NYC and MEd in Education from University of Cambridge, UK, where her thesis, ’Genius - Deep Attention to a Passion’ focused on the importance of allowing autistic children to learn by pursuing their passions. Something she feels should be the privilege of all children (and adults!)

Moorea beach tranquility

About Moorea:

“Moorea holds a vast significance for humanity. She focuses the entire energy of the Unity Consciousness Grid through the center of her heart-shaped island landmass. I feel that Moorea is the most female location in the world” -Drunvalo Melchizedek

Maui Humpback Whales

“Feel how we float in water. With such ease, a tiny little movement with our pectoral fins and we change course. Often in life it doesn’t take a lot of action to get where you want and what you want. Just a little focused attention and action in the right moment.

Walk through life with ease and you will arrive where you are meant to and will encounter your catalysts for change in due time.

We are the Whale Collective, and we love connecting with you. We will be here waiting as we are here with you now. Separation is an illusion you create.“

“You are all part of an invisible network here to raise the vibrations of the planet. And know that everything you do for the collective and for Mother Earth you do for yourself. ”

“You can choose to connect with us... the whales, the spirits of Moorea, Mother Earth and the island herself. Crack open your hearts like a coconut and receive the delicious, nutritious manna for your soul. There is really no limit to how high you can choose to go in our cosmic embrace.”

“You are uniting, and many of you reuniting, to fulfill a pact that was made eons ago, to come together at this time on earth, in this epicenter of divine feminine love, Moorea, to co-create and celebrate yourselves and Gaia, to consciously raise your own vibrations.”

“In a few days you can reprogram your brains by connecting with the love of the whales and the island and yourself and each other, and take a quantum leap in your own evolution and hence the evolution of the planet.”
